Second Chance 5K is a Las Vegas-based non-profit organization committed to connecting communities impacted by substance use disorders and celebrating second chances for those in recovery.

A time-line of events and an explanation of how donations have been used to support the recovery community.

2017 - 5k event 300 participants, 10 resource tables. Sponsored individual at Westcare Women's and Children's Center.

2018 - 5k event, 500 participants, 12 resource tables

Renovated a full wing in Westcare Women's and Children's Center, allowing them to open that wing with 12 new beds.

2019 - 5k event, 600 participants, 12 resource tables

Renovated outdoor area at Westcare. Sponsored the Black Monday event for No Hero in Heroine. Grant went to Vegas Stronger for counseling services. West Care Toy Drive.

2020-5k virtual event. Maintained donations from 98% of participants and sponsors despite the cancelation of live events. Black Monday Sponsor. West Care Women's and Children's Clothing Drive. Rescue Mission Toy Drive.

2021 - 5k Virtual Event; speakers, organized local 5k, separated due to co-vid restrictions. Donation to the Darren Waller Foundation. Black Monday Sponsor for There is no Hero in Heroine.

2022 -5K Live Event. 800 participants, 14 resource tables. Over $20,000 to Shine a Light Foundation. Black Monday Platinum Sponsor for There is No Hero in Heroine. Held a Shine a light donation drive.
